Hi everyone! My name is Olivia Parker, and I will be teaching World Geography at Round Rock HS. I am so glad to be a part of the Social Studies team - it has always been one of my favorite subjects!

I am a graduate from the University of Texas at Arlington, where I studied History and Secondary Social Studies Education. I am certified in all Social Studies subjects, but I've found my home in the World Geography department at Round Rock! In the past, I have taught 10th grade World History and 7th grade PAP Texas History. This will be my first year at Round Rock High School teaching World Geography.

I have always been very passionate about teaching and Social Studies. So don't worry if its not your favorite subject - I love it enough for all of us! I pride myself on having a student-centered classroom (as does Round Rock High School as a whole), so I hope that students come prepared to have fun and accomplish a lot!

My goal in my classroom is to create a learning environment where students can get excited about their own ideas and respectfully discuss them with their peers. We will be learning a lot this year, and I intend on helping our students build skills to apply their new knowledge to their own lives.
